Chief Executive Officer
Danny Newberry is the founder and president of Value Investment Group. He has built Value Investment Group into an integrated and successful firm that has acquired more than 30 properties since its inception in 2008, acquiring assets in more than a dozen states. Mr. Newberry’s primary responsibilities include asset and portfolio management, broker relations, investor and client relations, banking relations, economic and demographic trends, market analysis, due diligence oversight, financing oversight, acquisition and disposition strategies, transaction oversight and business development.
Chief Operating Officer
Garry Whiteley is the Chief Operating Officer of Value Investment Group. Garry strives to maintain successful management practices and the business development of VIG’s commercial properties. Garry’s responsibilities include employee management, development of company systems and policies, managing partnership relations and ensuring that all in-house operations run efficiently. Garry facilitates weekly meetings to confirm that the entire Value Investment Group team is on track to achieve all quarterly and annual goals as well as to discuss the progress of individual projects.
Senior Project Manager
Kayla Vidaurri is the Senior Project and Property Manager at Value Investment Group. She brings 18 years of property management experience to the company. Kayla oversees our portfolio including managing tenant relations, construction oversight, implementing marketing across various channels, leasing administration, tracking deadlines, and managing accounts. Kayla’s passion is people which, as well as her extensive experience in the industry, is what makes her a perfect fit for the team. She is committed to providing excellent service to our clients, investors, associates, and tenants. Kayla has an ARM, SCHM certification, as well as a CO real estate license.
Brandon Newberry is the Acquisitions Manager at Value Investment Group. He oversees all commercial acquisitions including setting up marketing mailers, working with brokers, finding motivated sellers, text message marketing, cold calling, and handling inbound calls from mailers, as well as doing initial underwriting. Brandon also assists the team in the day-to-day operations of the company.
Real Estate Attorney
Herb has been practicing law in the areas of real estate development, general business and corporate law, dispute resolution and estate planning for 19 years, first as a partner in a prominent law firm in Buffalo, New York, and for the past eight years in Teton Valley, Idaho. Herb has extensive experience in all areas of real estate and corporate law, municipal law and dispute resolution. Herb has always volunteered in his community. While practicing law in Buffalo, Herb was a board member of several non-profit entities, including the nationally renowned Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center and the Buffalo Niagara Partnership which is Buffalo’s think-tank for stimulating economic growth and business development in Western New York. Herb is on the Board of the Community Foundation of Teton Valley which hosts the annual Tin Cup Challenge. Herb studied at Syracuse University College of Law and St. Lawrence University, Canton, NY.
Beth Reilly has been the President of Eagle Valley Accounting Services (EVAS) in Avon, Colorado since 1997. Beth graduated from University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. She started her career working in the Hospitality Accounting field in the resort industry. She managed the accounting for several property management companies both in residential and commercial. She has operated Eagle Valley Accounting Services serving clients in the Colorado Mountain area as well clients throughout the US. She has been a preferred Intuit Reseller and Solution provider for most of this time. The Intuit partnership enables EVAS to be on the leading edge of accounting technology withtop notch Intuit support. During this time, EVAS has been an integral partner with small and medium businesses providing professional outsourced bookkeeping services.
Michael Lee, CPA, is a tax consultant for Value Investment Group. Mr. Lee has over 32 years of experience in the field of Taxation. Mr. Lee worked for the world’s third largest accounting firm for 15 years which included tours of duty in the London, England and Los Angeles offices. He then spent 10 plus years as the Tax partner of the largest regional firm in the Midwest, overseeing a tax practice of over 75 individuals. In 2006, he and a group of professionals from that firm formed Crown Pointe Financial Services, a boutique tax firm that specializes in real estate.
Mr. Lee is on the Kent State Accounting advisory board and the board of the International Institute. He has had numerous articles published in such periodicals as the Journal of Taxation. He has also spoken at numerous conferences on the topic of Real Estate Taxation most recently at the University of Akron’s annual tax seminar. Mr. Lee graduated with honors from Kent State University.
